Noted and respected author of eight books, including four New York Times Bestsellers, Victor “Vic” Carucci, a Whitesboro native, is a gifted writer whose knowledge of football has earned him tremendous esteem throughout the NFL.

Carucci began his career working for such noted newspapers as The Buffalo News, The Courier-Post (Cherry Hill, NJ), and the Utica Observer Dispatch and Daily Press.  While with those newspapers, he covered much more than just football, but his passion for and knowledge of the game earned him the opportunity to cover the game on the professional level.

Beginning in 1993, Carucci became a co-host and host of the pre-game and post-game programs for the Buffalo Bills Radio Network.  He has been hosting those programs for nearly 20 years now, and is widely listened to and highly respected for the quality of his work.

In 2004, Carucci’s talents could no longer be contained just to the city of Buffalo.  Satellite Radio came calling, and for the past 7 years Carucci has hosted and/or co-hosted national satellite radio programs on the National Football League for Sirius NFL Radio.  He brings an insider’s perspective to those listening to the game that is unparalleled.  He is knowledgeable, astute and held in tremendously high esteem by fans, players and colleagues alike.

After great success in print and on the radio, it was only a matter of time before television and the Internet would want Carucci’s talent as part of their productions.  Since 1999, he has contributed regularly for ESPN, the NFL Network, NFL Films, and NFL.com, where he serves as the National Editor and Senior Columnist.  He also is the National Editor and a Senior Columnist with NFL Insider Magazine

Carucci was a Past-President of the Professional Football Writers Association of America, serves as a member of the National Football League’s Hall of Fame Selection Committee, earned numerous awards for his feature stories.  In 1997, he was given the “Victory Beyond Competition Award,” by Athletes in Action.
