The Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame hosted its annual Drive, Chip & Putt Contest for local boys and girls on Monday, July 28, at Valley View Golf Course in Utica.
The Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame hosted its annual Drive, Chip & Putt Contest for local boys and girls on Monday, July 28, at Valley View Golf Course in Utica.
Over 50 youngsters participated in the event, which was sponsored by the GUSHOF and Mastrovito Hyundai and run with assistance from the Utica Youth Bureau and golf program coordinator Carvon Brazier.
This year's winners were Graham Abbe and Felicity Taube in the 7 to 9 year-old age group, Anthony Zito and Kendyl Gigliotti in the 10 to 12 age group, and Joey Barres in the 13 to 15 age group.

The Greater Utica Sports Hall of Fame was founded in 1990 to honor excellence in all facets of sports throughout the area. As of 2012, nearly 150 men and women have been enshrined.
