A selection in the coach or manager category, Durr led his alma mater Notre Dame with a record 335 victories in 21 seasons. There he won or shared 12 Tri Valley League titles, several sectional championships and appeared in the NYSPHSAA championship game in 1999 and 2000. Durr assisted Joe White at Notre Dame before becoming the head coach at Poland from 1992-94. He returned to Notre Dame as the head coach in 1994 and remained until 2015.
